Mona Faces began her freelance journey in 2014, relying on social media marketing to grow her clientele. In 2016, she then opened her first makeup studio with a desire to bring a young, modern, and inclusive vibe to the Ugandan beauty scene. Once Mona realized she wanted to share her skills and what she had learned, she launched her very first makeup masterclass in 2017. It has since become an annual event for upcoming makeup artists and women who want to learn more about beauty. Monalisa Umutoni, a self-taught makeup artist, has grown to become the #1 Makeup Artist in Uganda over the last six years. At Mona Faces Studio, their desire is to make all women feel and look beautiful through their skills and amazing customer service.
